At last, the American country music singer and songwriter, Jeff Hinson, officially announced that he’s the real composer of the controversial single I Need Your Love, recorded in 1966 by the Scandinavian band The Wizards.
In this respect, Hinson said: "I am the Jeff Lynn wrote and recorded I Need Your Love. I wrote the song in 1964 when I was a teenager and recorded it in Memphis or Nashville, TN, USA.
The Wizards recorded later. It sold fairly well. Good to hear the song again."
The single was originally released in 1965 as A Better Man Than I (6501251)/I Need Your Love (6501252), by the label Twin-Spin Records for Painted Desert Music BMI. 
Jeff Hinson is currently active and performs live shows along to Theresa Hinson as The Hinson Duo and also manage his own recording studio named Downsouth Studio .
This way, the myth that during years said that Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra would have composed that song, gets categorically valueless.
